This tour is based on 1300 to 1820 miles driven during the tour... just to give an idea of the distances involved in visiting these flying sites.
This is an increadable part of the country, with big open spaces and high desert plants.
SOUTHERN DESERT TOUR: 7 DAY
Day 1: Arrive Pheonix. Fly Box Canyon.
Day 2: Tucson.
Day 3: Sierra Vista.
Day 4: Alamogordo.
Day 5: Alamogordo.
Day 6: Sierra Vista.
Day 7: Pheonix.
SOUTHERN DESERT TOUR: 10 DAY
The same locations as seven day tour, but with a reasonable amount of time to complete the entire loop. (Which is not realistic in 7 days).
SOUTHERN DESERT TOUR: 14 DAY
This is really the right amount of time to complete such an ambitious tour, and in order to get some quality air time at these many world class sites.
