Still further south lies the famous city of Cuzco, with the nearby ruins of Macchu Picchu and the spectacular Sacred Valley of the Urubamba. Some of the biggest flying in Peru is found in this area, with launches from 10,000 to 13,000 feet and cloud base often topping 20,000 feet. Just a few short hours north of the Urubamba valley are sites above the city of Abancay that offer similarly big air flying. The Cuzco Province is a favorite for tourism in Peru, and there are large Sunday markets full of textiles as well as many famous Incan ruins to visit and explore. |
