While the flying in Peru is some of the best, most beautiful and exciting in the world, most people visit for the culture and people who live there. The campesinos that live in the high Andes are friendly and accepting. The infrastructure in the country allows reasonable travel while maintaining a vary rural feel. There is little doubt you will feel you've been transported to a very different place and time when you look out on the terraced fields of the high Andes and meet locals who live very much as their ancestors have for millennium. Since 1981 Jeff Cristol has been visiting and exploring the complex, beautiful and varied regions of Peru. Throughout the 1980's Jeff climbed and trekked throughout the Cordillera Blanca, Huayhuash, and Urubamba.
